Fast-foods such as Mc Donalds or Burger King around the world enjoy a huge popularity, with the exception of Greece. Why here the American fast-foods do not enjoy such popularity? The answer is a clear and its name `souvlatsidiko`. So what is this souvlatsidiko? This is the kind of fast food restaurants that can be found in every region of Greece. I haven`t met a Greek who would not like souvlaki and even tourists really appreciate a quick, tasty and unfortunately fattening food.

What you can eat in souvlatsidiko? Firstly `gyros pita ` this is the flour pancakes wraps grilled meat of pork or chicken with french fries, tomato, onion, lettuce and mayonnaise sauce or tzatziki, served in a horn-shaped leavened flat round bread. It`s delicious and  not expensive (from 1.5 to 2, 5 euros per item) .In this eatery can also try "kalamaki" (straws), chicken or pork pieces of meat on a stick, "skiepasti" that  consists of two big cakes with baked meat ,cheese fries and tomato sauce or tzatziki.  You can also try  kebab on a stick or in pastry, or  sheep meat or burgers of many kinds . As you can see these are the reasons that  Mc Donald`s or other fast food franchises  are not very popular in Greece.
